Methamphetamine is a human made drug and goes by the street names of “speed”, “crank”, “ice” and “crystal meth”.  This drug has been sweeping the country and is the new epidemic in the war on drugs.  Meth is very easily manufactured given that most of the chemicals and items needed to make the drug are available at your local drug store or retailer.  Some of the common ingredients needed to make Meth are gasoline, cold medicine (pseudoephedrine), Drano, lighter fluid, kerosene and many other toxic chemicals.

Meth labs can be housed in motor homes, hotel rooms, apartments, houses, or even the trunk of a car.  The cooking of Methamphetamine is a very dangerous practice due to the fact that many of the chemicals are very volatile and the fumes and by products from such a lab are highly flammable and even toxic.  Extreme care must be taken if you suspect a residence to have been used for the illegal manufacture of Methamphetamine.
